What we believe
- Gestures over keys. Every job a keyboard does should be reachable with a flick, not another button squeezed onto a small screen.
- Nothing leaves the phone. No feature may need the network. If a feature can’t work offline, Flikzi doesn’t have it.
- Calm at the keys, playful at the edges. The keys stay legible and fast; the personality lives around them.
- Honest claims only. We say what the app verifiably does, and we say what it doesn’t do.
How Flikzi is built
Flikzi is a native Android app. Its English autocorrect and suggestion engine and its pinyin engine come from the Android Open Source Project, released under the Apache License 2.0, which we adapted to run inside Flikzi. Next-word predictions are counted from the Tatoeba sentence collection, and emoji data comes from Unicode. Everything ships inside the app. Open-source licences and credits.
Where things stand
Flikzi is in testing on Android phones and a foldable, and it is coming to Google Play as a paid app. The price will be announced before launch. Join the waitlist to hear first.
