Autocorrect, suggestions and predictions

Everything on this page runs on your phone. Flikzi has no internet permission.

Suggestions​

While you type, the strip above the keys shows likely words. Tap one to use it; Flikzi adds a space after it. If you type punctuation next, it goes before the space.

Next-word predictions​

After a space, the strip predicts the next word. Tap one to use it.

Autocorrect​

When you press space or type punctuation, Flikzi corrects obvious typos. It also adds missing capitals (i to I, monday to Monday) and missing apostrophes (dont to don’t, im to I’m).

To undo a correction, swipe left (or delete) straight after it. The word goes back to what you typed, and Flikzi remembers not to correct it again.

Editing an earlier word​

Put the cursor at the end of a word, by tapping there or by deleting the space after it, and Flikzi picks the word up again: suggestions cover the whole word, new letters extend it, and autocorrect applies once you change it.

Fields without suggestions​

Password, email, web address and some search fields ask keyboards not to suggest anything. Flikzi respects that: no suggestions and no corrections appear there.

Turn them off​

Open Flikzi, Typing:

  • Autocorrect: fixes typos when you press space.
  • Suggestions: word suggestions and next-word predictions above the keys.
  • Emoji suggestions: emoji for the word you type, like pizza → 🍕.
