Symbols and accents

Each letter key shows up to two small marks in its top corners. They’re one hold-and-slide away.

How to type a mark​

  1. Touch and hold a letter. A strip of options appears above it.
  2. Slide left for the mark in the left corner, or right for the mark in the right corner.
  3. Let go to type it.

For example, hold a and slide right for @, or hold q and slide right for %.

Accented letters​

Keep sliding right past the right-hand mark and the accented versions of the letter follow. Hold e and slide right for è, é, ê, ë, ē and ę; hold n for ñ and ń.

Letters with accents: a, c, e, i, l, n, o, s, u, y and z.

Punctuation​

  • The split key at the left of the middle row is comma (top half) and full stop (bottom half). Hold the comma for ; and the full stop for :.
  • The split key at the right is ! (top) and ? (bottom). Hold ! for " and ? for '.

Marks don’t follow capitals: holding a letter always gives the same marks, whatever case you’re in.
